Lafayette Parish Warrant Records Lafayette Parish Warrant Records

This page explains what this site can and cannot help with, and where to send questions about official Lafayette Parish warrants. Almost every request belongs with the sheriff's warrant division or the court that issued the order rather than with this site. The routing below sends each kind of need to the office that actually holds the record, along with addresses, phone numbers, and public counter hours.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. It cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, contact the sheriff's warrant division or the court that issued the order directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

These are the offices that handle the questions readers ask most often about warrants in Lafayette Parish.

  • Whether a warrant exists: the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Warrant Division serves criminal court process and can confirm an entry by name and date of birth
  • A bench warrant for a missed date: the court that set the case holds the order, whether that is the Fifteenth Judicial District Court, Lafayette City Court, or a mayor's court
  • A city warrant or citation: Lafayette City Court and its marshal handle city cases, and each smaller city runs its own court channel
  • Resolving an open order: a licensed Louisiana attorney and the issuing court handle recalls, surrenders, and bond
